Updated 2026-06-02
How Many Acts Are in Slay the Spire 2?
Slay the Spire 2 has four acts, same as the first game. You start at the bottom and climb. Each act ends with a boss fight. Beat all four and you face the final boss.
Act 1 — The Undergrowth is your warmup. Enemies hit for moderate damage. Bosses include the Slime Boss and a new one called the Thorn Matriarch. Act 2 — The City of Embers jumps hard in difficulty. Status effects like Burn and Frail appear more often. The bosses include the Champ (returning) and a new boss called the Ashen Conductor.
Act 3 brings elites that can end your run in seconds. The Spire's Sentinels guard the way. Act 4 is the final gauntlet — two tough elite fights then the Heart. StS2's Heart fight has new patterns. Expect more multi-hit attacks and a heal block mechanic.
