Updated 2026-06-02
Slay the Spire 2 Classes Overview
Slay the Spire 2 launches with five classes. Three return from the original game, two are brand new. Each class has a unique mechanic and card pool.
| Class | Core Mechanic | Difficulty | Playstyle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ironclad | Strength / Vuln | Easy | Big attacks and sustain |
| Silent | Poison / Shivs | Medium | Debuffs and multi-hit |
| Defect | Orbs / Focus | Medium | Passive damage and scaling |
| Necrobinder | HP cost / Doom | Hard | Sacrifice HP for power |
| Pyroclast | Forge charges | Hard | Build up then burst |
Each class has unlockable starting decks. Experiment with all of them.
The Necrobinder is the most interesting class. You spend HP to play cards. It feels risky until you get relics that give you healing. The Pyroclast takes patience — you need to learn when to hold Forge charges and when to spend them.
