Void Form Slay the Spire 2 — The Complete Guide

Updated 2026-06-02

What Is Void Form?

Void Form is a power card for the Necromancer. It costs 3 energy. When played, it gives you 3 Ethereal Void orbs that passively deal damage to all enemies at the start of each turn. Each Void orb deals 4 damage to every enemy at the start of your turn. The orbs are Ethereal — they fade when used unless you have orb slot retention relics.

Orb TypeDamageTargetDuration
Void4/turnAll enemiesUntil used or replaced
Frost (StS1 reference)Block per turnSelfUntil replaced

You need orb slot extenders. Look for relics like Runic Capacitor and Data Disc. Stacking orb slots lets you run more Void orbs alongside defensive Frost orbs. Without extra slots, Void Form fills your board and leaves no room for defense.

Void Form costs 3 energy. Grab energy relics early or you won't be able to play it until turn 3 or 4. That's too slow for Act 2.

FAQ

Can multiple Void Forms stack?
Yes. Playing Void Form again replaces existing Void orbs with fresh ones. The new orbs have full duration.
Does Focus affect Void orb damage?
No. Focus only affects Lightning, Frost, and Dark orbs. Void orbs have fixed damage that cannot be scaled by Focus.
Is Void Form good?
Yes, in the right build. It is the Necromancer's best AOE damage source. Without orb slots and energy, it is a dead card.
